We made it....... The house is slowly coming together and we're starting to find an "at home" feel again.
The girls are hanging in there:
Taylor, is a shocking both Justin and I with how well she is adjusting- her sleep is right on cue and now that she is mobile and walking, she's exploring this place with no fear.
Ana, on the other hand, is adjusting a litte slower. Yesterday at breakfast she asked me, "mommy, I want to go home today to my Georgia house". Very sad. I had to leave the table to not show my tears. She also is expressing feelings of loneliness and confusion. She is desperate for her friends again. Any child she sees under the age of 10 she walks straight up to and says, in her so sweet shy vioce, "HI, whats your name? My Name is Ana. Come with me." Most of the time the kids, who are engaged with their own friends, just keep right on playing, with no response. SO SAD :(
It's amazing to me to see how socially developed in the friendship world she is, but also VERY SAD to see her feel loneliness for the first time. We do a lot of talking through emotions and learning how to express them. But, this weeks goal will be to find some friends or groups to join in.
As parents, Justin and I are doing good too- busy juggling fun family time with getting organized, but it's helping that we have a long weekend. I began work Friday 1/2 day and start full swing Tuesday and Wednesday. So we'll see how that goes.
No pictures yet, but they will come so stay tuned.........

Putting on the "new in town" face:
"Hi, I'm Amy, I have 2 girls, Ana 2, Taylor 1. We just moved here from Georgia. All our Family is north and we really don't know anyone in the area yet. So nice to meet you."
TRANSLATION:
"WILL YOU PLEASE TAKE MY NUMBER and WILL YOU PLEASE invite us over. Do you know any sitters in the area? Who is your Peditrician? CALL ME TOMORROW OKAY?"
Sometimes I feel like we're in college all over again. But this time, we have to not only make friends of our own, we have to concentrate on making friends for our children. It's FUN! Don't forget to carry a little notebook and pen everywhere you go! You need to fill it with potential friends phone #'s, interesting signs you see along the road and phone numbers on billboards that talk about something off the beaten path!
GOOD LUCK!!!!! We're in this together!! In 3 months we'll compare notes! Until then, stay positive and remember this is the time of our lives!
