SURPRISE

To my surprise Ana rolled from her tummy to back today. OF COURSE it was when I wasn't looking....it was during her mid day tummy time. She was happily looking around at her toys. When I walked the whole 10 feet into the kitchen she was belly down talking away, but when I returned her big baby blues were staring right UP at me paired with a big "look what I just did" smile! I wish I could have seen it b/c we've been working diligently at it since PT started. C'est la vie.

As far as therapy goes not much gain in the neck region, but her over all range of motion with grabbing and lifting her head on her tummy has improved drastically. Which Lisa, Ana'a PT, says is a good sign. Ana will start OT-head massage- in the next couple of weeks for her mis-shaped head. The hope is that the therapy will bring her left ear, cheekbone and eye back in alignment with the right side of her face. This is in lieu of the DREADFUL helmet, which I REFUSE to even consider at this point. We'll keep you posted!

She continues to be a happy, mellow baby T with a consistently large smile and interactive personality. Definitely DADDY!

Was Ana calm after rolling over? I maintain that Logan was WAY too immature to roll over when he did. I know that sounds funny but the child would scream after rolling over so we'd put him back on his back, then he'd roll over again...it was a terrible cycle that continued for what seemed like forever. When Ethan finally rolled over, almost two months later, he was totally fine with it...thought it was great. The joy of twins - there's always someone to compare them too!

Ana actually acted as if nothing happened. I was clapping, smilng and congratulating her, but she just sat there and smiled back as usual! You're probably right on with the immaturity theory.
