Ana's entry into the world is something Justin and I will never ever forget.
My water broke at noon on Saturday March 13 (five days before my due date) as we were packing up for a hike in the Kettle Moraine...thank goodness we hadn't left yet or it would have been one LONG and MESSY hike/drive back. (And YES I was planning on hiking at 39 weeks pregnant). I was in denial at first, but after a lot of convincing from the on-call doctor I allowed Justin to take us to the the hospital.....car seat in hand.
The show had begun! I was having no real contractions, but was told that I was going to deliver, one way or another, within 24 hours. WOW that was the first reality shock. Justin and I just gazed at each other in amazement, excitement and fear. The day REALLY was here.
13 hours, lots of petocin and a life saving epidural later Ana arrived. 01:49 AM on Sunday March 14th, 2005. And..save a little O2 for mom and baby everything was perfect!
