Ana's entry into the world is something Justin and I will never ever forget.
My water broke at noon on Saturday March 13 (five days before my due date) as we were packing up for a hike in the Kettle Moraine...thank goodness we hadn't left yet or it would have been one LONG and MESSY hike/drive back. (And YES I was planning on hiking at 39 weeks pregnant). I was in denial at first, but after a lot of convincing from the on-call doctor I allowed Justin to take us to the the hospital.....car seat in hand.
The show had begun! I was having no real contractions, but was told that I was going to deliver, one way or another, within 24 hours. WOW that was the first reality shock. Justin and I just gazed at each other in amazement, excitement and fear. The day REALLY was here.
13 hours, lots of petocin and a life saving epidural later Ana arrived. 01:49 AM on Sunday March 14th, 2005. And..save a little O2 for mom and baby everything was perfect!

Great Grandpa and me
Easter with Great Grandpa Gino. Great Grandpa joined us at Lac La Belle for Easter brunch and shared his love with Ana. Look how tiny she is in his hands!
Daddy's girl
Sleeping on my tummy on daddy's (or mommy's) chest is my favorite place to rest...watch out though. If you move me I will wake up!
Grandma Beebs
Grandma Beebs flew all the way in from Arizona to meet me. Aren't I lucky. We had a great time and I can't wait to see her again.
Nina and Papa
Look at me...my oh my how I can already get their attention. This was my first holiday...Easter at Nina and Papa's.
3 generations
Here the three of us are in the hospital- my Mom, Grandma and me. I wonder if I'll look just like them too?
Grandma
Grandma never left the hospital and was there in the waiting room as soon as I arrived. (OOPS guess I kept her up all night too....sorry Grandma)

Love at First sight
Take a look- right after delivery Ana was wide awake and alert. Very content too.
Sleeping Beauty
Still in the hospital sleeping away. It seems that was all she did those first few days.
Getting comfy
It was truly love at first sight...she and I just cuddled right up as if we'd always been together.
Daddy's eyes
Right from the start we all thought she looked like me (amy), but you will see as she gets older that she is all her daddy. WATCH OUT!
Cousins at last
Addy and Ana have finally met...it will be fun to watch the relationship grow as they spend days and days together at Grandmas.
