Big Sister Helps out
Ana has quite the look of JOY in her face......hmmmmmmm
When asked to get Taylor a daiper, bib, blankie, NUK, or bottle Ana is the first on the job. She walks around the house until she finds the object and brings it right to us. So sweet!

Off to the Doctor- Ana's 15 mo & Taylor's newborn screen and jaundice check
Ana at 15 months:
Weight: 25 lbs. 2 oz = 75%
Length: 31 1/2 inches = 75%
Head Circumference: 18 1/2 inches = 75%
Nice and proportioned
I will not bore you with the details of all her skills, but let's say her new doctor was more than impressed!
In his own words, "I see she has no problem with her language and communication"!
However, he is putting her back in physical therapy as that neck of hers is still off to the right.
TODDLER BOOT CAMP BEGINS!!!!
Ana also had to have 3 more shots...they just get worse and worse each time. This one broke my heart. She stared striaight into my eyes with a look of SHEER TERROR followed by a delayed scream. SO SAD. However, a "dora ticker" (Dora Sticker) quickly cured her and she was back to her happy and chatty self within seconds.
Taylor's newborn screen:
Taylor was back to her birth weigt before leaving the hospital and is gaining 1 ounce a day.
She is eating well and already lifts her chest, head and moves it from side to side when on her tummy!
Weight at 4 days: 7 lbs. 14.5 ounces
She is jaundice though, but her levels are evening out and slowly lowering (13.8, 14.1, 13.8) so other than daily heel pricks she doesn't need any phototherapy...THANK GOODNESS!!
What is it with this family and jaundice?

Getting ready for the "2 under 2 club"

Welcome Taylor Lorraine
June 13th, 2006
12:15 PM
7 lbs. 11 oz.
19 1/2 inches
2:00 AM, June 13th, 2006 mommy awakes to uncomfortable cramping which continue through the night.
5:30 AM daddy awakes to mommy in the shower demanding chocolate chip pancakes.
6:30 AM Ana awakes to mommy grabbing, cuddling and offering her chocolate chip pancakes (which mommy was too sick to eat).
7:00 AM Mommy refuses to allow daddy to take her to the hospital (even though contractions were now 3-4 minutes apart and causing crawling around on the floor) in fear of "false labor"
7:15 AM Nana awakes to CHAOS and reminds mommy that an epidural awaits if I go to the hospital
7:30 AM Mommy and Daddy leave, in the heat of rush hour, for Northside Hospital
8:30 AM Hospital staff see the look on mommy's face and IMMEDIATELY admit her with epidural papers in hand to be signed
5+ cm/ 95-100 %.....almost missed the epidural
9:10 Mommy is happy as a clam as the epidural drips through her core :) :) :) :)
11:45 water breaks
12:05 pushing begins
12:15 Taylor Lorraine joins us (after only 4 pushes)
Taylor was stepping on her umbilical cord so Daddy couldn't cut it, and she was a bit blue and needed some O2. She also had low blood sugar levels so had to be taken to the nursery....all things that caused us much stress those first few hours, but by 5:00 she was back with us and healthy, happy and eating away!
Such a day it was!

80%......2cm-
-and ready to rock and roll.
Wish us farewell to only childhood as we get ready for an induction on Wed. June 14th (if I make it that long). Nana is packing her bags and heading down for Grandaughter # 2's arrival, and us...we have a baby sitter tonight (one of our new friends we met has offered to take Ana for the night) for some much needed husband/wife time. Then we plan to spoil Ana rotten this weekend- her last weekend EVER as an only child. Poor little thing.
Stay tuned. We'll make sure to keep y'all posted!

Happy Tapping with Elmo
Here is Ana tap, tap, tapping her feet pretending to be Elmo in his "happy tapping with Elmo" skit that she watched with Addy on their visit here.
It took me a week to figure out what she was doing...It wasn't until she started stating "Elmo" over and over again while moving her feet. So, now I know and Ana CRACKS up when I start singing the song to her while she taps.
She has the "shuffle" down. Next step is the "ball change". Maybe she'll take after mommy and want to be in dance!
Since Addy left Ana also walks around the house asking so politely "wideo peese Mama?"
Therefore I have to admit it, after the tapping excitement and polite asking, I broke down and bought the girl 2 videos...something I SWORE I'd never do....1 Elmo and 1 Little Einstein. I just couldn't resist.
Last night we tried them out while I was cooking dinner. DEADLY...I got so much done. I think I'll have to monitor MYSELF for how much of it I allow. She was 100% captivated, so much that when Daddy walked in she didn't even give him the time of day. NOT GOOD!

5 double wide-
-is the size of Ana's very first pair of (not too fasionable) walking shoes.
We decided it was shoe time when we looked at the bottom of her red, swallon, blistering feet in the tub a few nights ago. Guess hot GA sun beaten pavement doesn't make for a good barefoot walking surface. I think Justin might be reconsidering my stay at home mom abilities...OOPS! Sorry baby!
With the need for not wide, but double wide, we didn't have very many options. And... with my daily sore and swallon pregnant feet as a reminder of how crucial good fits are, we didn't want to skimp out just for fasion. So here they are...such a big girl now. Hopefully she'll grow out of the double wides sooner than later so that we can get some sandals on the poor girls feet.
It's HOT here, and getting hotter by the day!

"Nina" "Papa"
Puppy love, Bruises, "Macuz"...and DRESSES
Ana has recently discovered a few new and, according to her, amazing things..and I a few myself:
(1) Dexter is a puppy to love. She often gently walks to him, sits down, pets him and says "nice". Or puts out her hand and asks for "kiss?"
(2) Walking means falling and falling means bruises. Here she is as my little boxer. The first of many I am sure. The funny thing is it freaked Justin and I out more than her. After a bout of crying with mommy and daddy love she was off and rearing to go again.
(3) Ana's newest "discovery" is her Maraccas (spelling????), which she runs to get yelling "Macuz, macuz" and then plays in rythym for daddy and I.
(4) Walking means DRESSES. Finally, I can dress my little girl in all the adorable dresses she has gotten for gifts. Here she is strutting her stuff in nana's (my mom) gift from Cabos San Lucas, Mexico. We've been waiting 6 months to wear this thing. Isn't she CUTE?!?!?!?!
