Ana took her first vacation to Nina and Papa's Florida house this month. The weather was a bit hot for her, but she enjoyed putting her feet in the water and swimming first thing in the morning. We had a blast!

Chunky Monkey
We had our 2 month check up this week and everything is going great. Ana is growing quickly and is already the weight and height of a 3 month old.... 11 lb. 6 oz, 23 inches (such a chunky monkey). No wonder her clothes are getting tight :) :) As far as her neck goes, it's still tight and tilted to one side and flabby on the other, but her doctor assures me with continued stretching she WILL NOT have to wear the helmet! So baby boot camp continues!
Everyday Ana becomes more and more interactive. She is sleeping 8-9 hours through the night and waking up in the best mood. Waking to me full of kicks, smiles and giggles. It's my favorite time of day. She is also cooing back and forth while we "talk" about the days events and how coo-koo daddy is. She also is enjoying (or should I say demanding with cries when I try to cuddle her) a couple hours of alone time a day. Who knew at such a young age she would already be demanding her independence- like mother like daughter I guess..YIKES! It's so fun to watch her entertain herself though, so it's worth every minute (plus, I can finally get a ton done).

Grandpa T was a little hesitant to hold Ana at first, but here he is for the first time! A true natural.
Half Smile
Here she is working up to her smile. It's so fun waking her up now. The last few mornings when I've gone in to get her she is laying on her back with a huge smile just happily playing alone.

Mother's Day
My first Mother's Day was filled with great memories. Daddy and Ana began the day with prints from Ana'a first photo shoot and homemade apple waffles. Now her newborn innocence is captured forever. They are adorable.
We then spent the day with my extended family...the Italians....enjoying a home cooked Italian feast at my Grandpa's in Kenosha. YUM- ravs, sausages, chicken,biscottis and more. Aunt To can't wait for Ana's first cooking lesson to pass on the family recipes. Ana slept the entire time as she was lovingly passed from relative to relative....oh to be so loved! Now, more than 24 hours later, I still can't keep her awake for more than 1 hour..... (we'll have to do that every weekend)!

Already 7 weeks
It has been an incredibly fast 7 weeks. I couldn't imagine having to go back to work. Lucky for Ana and I that isn't going to happen anytime in the near future!
Ana is filling out and getting chubby cheeks like her mommy had as a baby, but her eyes are still all Justin. She still enjoys her bath time and is staying awake a lot more. We're even starting to get some purposeful smiles as I sing to her. Just wait until she discovers that I CANNOT sing!
There is not real rest for baby in this house. Poor Ana is put through baby boot camp every waking minute as we try to get her neck stretched out evenly on both sides (currently she has "wryneck", or "torticollis", meaning her head tilts unevenly to one side, making the muscles grow too short). The doctors say things typically even out just fine with good daily stretching. What a relief!
We've booked tickets for our first family vacation in May to Florida and can't wait. Ana will be adorable in her little swimsuit! I can't believe they make them so small...anything for a sale, right?

4 weeks old
Here I am at 4 weeks old in my rocking chair. Stay tuned for monthly shots and watch me grow.
My Favorite Place to Rest
If I could stay here forever I'd never complain. So cozy... AND...mom says it helps stretch my neck the right way.
I love life!
Here I am having a ball. My favorite thing to do right now is watch Mom's mouth while she sings to me. Some day I'll figure out she can't hold a tune, but for now it's the best!
My first Sponge Bath
I just love bath time. Sometimes Daddy gives me one in the middle of the night when I keep him up too late!
Billy Bed
The first week of my life was pretty stressful. Mom and Dad noticed I was turning a bit yellow so the doctor put me on this bed. I was only 1 point away from going back to the hospital and had to be on this bed all day and night. I couldn't even be held. I survived, but mom almost didn't.
