To my surprise Ana rolled from her tummy to back today. OF COURSE it was when I wasn't looking....it was during her mid day tummy time. She was happily looking around at her toys. When I walked the whole 10 feet into the kitchen she was belly down talking away, but when I returned her big baby blues were staring right UP at me paired with a big "look what I just did" smile! I wish I could have seen it b/c we've been working diligently at it since PT started. C'est la vie.
As far as therapy goes not much gain in the neck region, but her over all range of motion with grabbing and lifting her head on her tummy has improved drastically. Which Lisa, Ana'a PT, says is a good sign. Ana will start OT-head massage- in the next couple of weeks for her mis-shaped head. The hope is that the therapy will bring her left ear, cheekbone and eye back in alignment with the right side of her face. This is in lieu of the DREADFUL helmet, which I REFUSE to even consider at this point. We'll keep you posted!
She continues to be a happy, mellow baby T with a consistently large smile and interactive personality. Definitely DADDY!

Boot Camp Lives On
Well...Ana had her first PT (physical therapy) appointment and baby boot camp must continue AND increase in intensity (as if it wasn't enough already). The good news is Ana hit it off wonderfully with her therapist, Lisa. She worked with her for an hour and will see her one hour each week for now. We also have to CONSTANTLY be working her neck and trunk muscles. It seems that her entire body is beginning to tighten up and she needs to be worked with to not only straighten the neck out, but to open her fingers, reach for objects, roll/rock her trunk, etc.... Basically all range of motion actions with her limbs, neck and tummy. YIKES. We have this fun therapy ball now and a packet full of stretches, strengthing exercises and special holds.....don't be offended if I tweak her position while you play with/hold her. I'm told to be obsessive- one of my best traits!
Other than that we're having a great summer! We're really getting around, as you can see by the pictures and Ana enjoys every minute of it.

"Look Ana, It's Elmo", says Addy
Here is Addy, sharing her favorite past time with her cousin....ELMO! See how he captivates even the youngest of minds. As much as we try and try to keep the influence of modern day brainsucking TV away, our Ana has other plans....(this will be Ana'a LAST time to see him on TV in our house...no TV for our baby!!!!)
Water Park
Grandma and Grandpa treated the family to a great weekend in Sheboygan at the water park. Ana, mom, Grandma, and Grandpa sailed up there and met the rest of the family. It was Ana's first sail (8 hours) and she did great! Grandpa is OVERJOYED with his new found sailing partner!
My Buddy Grace
Ana and Grace were born just one week apart and live 3 doors down from each other. We play a lot together to give the moms a break!
Happy Days
Ana is such a happy and content baby. She gives us joy every day with her countless smiles. Lately she gives us full belly laughs when we shake our heads back and forth. It is ADORABLE!
Nina, Papa and us
Here is Ana with all her cousins on the Toson side at cousin Cole's welcoming in Chicago.
Look! My fingers
Ana has officially "found her fingers". A big milestone in this house. Time to start weaning the NUK. We hear her often in the middle of the night sucking away. Great self soother.
Little Rider
Dad is already getting me geared up. He just can't WAIT to get me on my first real ride.
Graduation
The last days of spring were busy in the Toson house as Mom exposed me to college life while finishing off her Master's Thesis and FINALLY graduating.

My First Summer
Well, summer is here and we are busy as ever. 3 days a week we are out in the Delafield area with cousins Jake and Maia Hentges enjoying the sun at local beaches, pools and zoo. It is a lot of fun, and Jake and Maia are great with Ana (Maia even changed a poopy diaper)! The other days are just the 2 of us as we get things done around the house, or go visit friends. Last week we went to Chicago to visit cousins Hudson and Cole Pettit and this week we had our first play date with all my fellow mom friends. It was a blast, although Ana slept through 90% of it. Party Pooper!
Ana is going to start physical therapy for her neck on Wednesday to help loosen and straighten things out. Hopefully that will do the trick. She has given up her NUK almost entirely as she's found her fingers and prefers them over plastic manufactured nipples (go figure!). She is also reaching out for toys and talking up a storm. The other night we woke to her having a 30 minute conversation with herself at 1:00 AM. It was so cute to hear.
Stay tuned for more pictures in the next couple of days.

Family in Naple's
Our last night in Florida we went out with friends to dinner on the beach. Ana got exteremly over heated and after stripping her down, drenching her with water and attempting a bottle we decided to cut it short. She was happy as ever once returned to her air conditioning....princess Ana lived on.
Floating Away
Every morning Ana would wake up and go swimming in Nina and Papa's pool before the heat set in.
Big girl without the car seat
We came to quickly realize in Florida that Ana does not do well with heat. Therefore she now rides in her stroller strapped in like a big girl...without her car seat! I can't BELIEVE she fits! What is happening to my baby?
Look! I found my tongue!
Ana has officially found her tongue after an entire day of playing with it.
Giggles
I've started laughing really hard now and my smile is wide mouth and oh so cute! I drive Mom crazy with glee when we play.
